Sentinel Citizen is a pilot project that develops a prototype of a local air pollution forecast. It does so by combining citizen science air quality data from Waag’s Hollandse Luchten with Sentinel’s satellite 5P atmospheric data and the Copernicus Atmospheric Model Service forecasts.

As a pilot project within European Space Agency’s Citizen Science Earth Observation Lab (CSEOL) efforts, this project aims to demonstrate a model of citizen science action. The project is a joint effort of Waag and IHS, Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
